As a result of the ban on gatherings imposed to stop the spread of coronavirus, Atlanta Ballet has cancelled all performances in the month of March. This effort, while necessary to protect the health of our citizens, puts Atlanta Ballet in a dangerous predicament with little revenue coming in. Even in these uncertain times, Atlanta Ballet is working to fulfill our mission to share the power and joy of dance with you. We are creating virtual classes for our students and working on ways to bring performances to those experiencing isolation at home.
Though Atlanta Ballet has always focused on being a fiscally responsible organization, non-profit organizations like Atlanta Ballet put all their resources into their on-stage performances, into their studios and classrooms, and into the programs we operate for the benefit of the community. We do not hold a reserve budget in the case of civil emergencies like this one.
Atlanta Ballet has always relied on the loyal support of subscribers and donors, and we now need you more than ever.
Please consider making a donation to sustain our organization during this critical moment. A gift of any size is impactful, and your generosity would be deeply appreciated by all our dancers, staff, faculty, and students at this extremely vulnerable time. Atlanta Ballet has always been a source of joy, perspective, entertainment, and empowerment to our audiences and community and for all we offer, we’re asking for you to give in whatever way you can.
We need you now.
